This year is going to be epic for two of my favorite museums! 2020 is the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the museum will mark the event with many celebrations planned throughout the year. Meanwhile, the Frick Collection anticipates beginning of an exciting renovation and expansion sometime this year. I look forward to getting to finally visit the second floor when the project is complete and the building re-opens.
I got all the scoop on both these major events for two articles I wrote for DailyArt Magazine. Check it out below.
“Here’s the Scoop on the Frick Collection’s Upcoming Renovation“. Published on DailyArt Magazine on January 9, 2020.
“150 Years of the Metropolitan Museum of Art“. Published on DailyArt Magazine on January 25, 2020.

Thanks. Many years ago my wife and I lived in the East 60s and on many weekends we visited the Metropolitan or the Frick. There were no admission fees in those days or the fees were inconsequential. We often visited the Frick just to enjoy its ambience. You brought back good memories to an old man.
Thanks for your comment. It sounds like those must have been some wonderful days. I’m glad you liked my articles. š
