While I work on the next installment of my gargoyle project, please enjoy this photograph of some Notre Dame gargoyles. It was taken by fellow scholar and gargoyle lover William Styple, who sent it to me after reading my first gargoyle post. Visit him at bellegrovepublishing.com.

In other news, I have just found out that the Chrysler Building has gargoyles. I learned this tonight from my very first loyal reader, Gaby L. Thank you chica!

There are some good photos here: http://www.gargoylesofnewyork.com/2011/01/chrysler-building.html. In fact, check out the whole website while you’re at it. Needless to say, you will be hearing lots more from me about the Chrysler Building gargoyles and some of the others on that site very soon. If you have a favorite gargoyle or other gargoyle information, leave me a note in the comments section.

  1. Hello! I currently live in Sydney and there is an interesting kangaroo gargoyle on the clocktower of Sydney Uni. A bit of an oddity, but worth checking out for its uniqueness!

  2. Thank you so much, Gregory! Those little guys are wonderful. I have started coming across some non-traditional gargoyles in my research, but I think the kangaroo has to be the most charming I have seen so far. Also, thank you for being my first commenter! 🙂
