Nativity by Jean-Baptiste Marie Pierre (December 25th)

An Advent Calendar is technically supposed to end on December 24th, but I couldn’t resist posting one final image. It is, of course, the Nativity. This is probably the easiest subject in the world to find paintings of, but I really struggled to find just the right one to feature here. It is by French artist Jean-Baptiste Marie Pierre (1714-1789).

I hope all of you have enjoyed my Advent Calendar. If you missed any posts or want to look at them again, you will always be able to find all the links here. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
